The Falmouth Beautification Council was formed in 1966. It was created as a committee of the Falmouth Garden Club and later that year was established as a private non-profit organization. The non-profit status encourages donations.
Its mission was and still is widely supported by the citizens of the Town of Falmouth. It fills a critical niche by supplementing the efforts of the DPW and related town departments.
The resulting visual impact on our town is enormous and appreciated by the people of the town and visitors alike.

ADOPT-A-GARDEN
It is that time of year again. Spring is right around the corner and the ADOPT-A-GARDEN Program is revving up for another great season.
As most of you know, the Adopt-A-Garden Program of the Falmouth Beautification Council is a collaborative effort shared by the Town of Falmouth D.P.W. the Parks Department, many civic and business organizations, as well as many caring townsfolk. Its goal is to have Falmouth a beautiful place to live and visit. Among us, we maintain over 60 garden sites throughout all of Falmouth’s many villages. In the past, many of you have been a volunteer caring for one or more of these sites. We hope you will continue the care of these gardens during the coming season. If you can no longer maintain the site/s, it would be very helpful if you could find another dedicated gardener to continue it”s care. If you are new to the program and would like to adopt-a-garden, please contact us. This is a volunteer effort and while we can obtain plants at a discounted rate through local growers the costs will be at the volunteer’s expense.. Let’s make Falmouth the most beautiful town in New England!! Happy Gardening!! Sincerely, The ADOPT-A-GARDEN committee Anna Blake, Doris Bousquet and Lyn Walter.. 508-540-0688 | The Falmouth Beautification Council Awards Scholarships! DEADLINE: APRIL 17, 2012

Falmouth is Beautiful
We are organized to promote and encourage all activities that will beautify the town of Falmouth, MA.
Click here to find out how After more than thirty years
sponsoring the Falmouth annual spring litter cleanup, the Beautification Council
is again requesting help from the Chamber of Commerce in spreading the word
about this town-wide effort. Since the
early years, the Chamber has been one of the locations distributing trash bags,
and we hope that its members have been active participants. We appreciate your encouraging family,
friends, and neighbors to take part as well.
Due to the new regulations in 2010 regarding the Waste Management Facility, anyone taking cleanup trash there must be on a list at the gatehouse and have a colored tag matching this year’s flyer bearing the town seal to avoid the $2.50 fee. The village coordinators will be able to supply the tags. Once again Allied Waste will pick up an extra bag or two of cleanup trash with your regular collection. Thank you for helping the Beautification Council clean up in all parts of town so that Falmouth will present an attractive appearance for residents and visitors alike. -Jayne Abbott |
